For the last 7 months- this has been my dad’s home:

Here is how my dad got there….
My mother and father have been faithful to see what God is going to do through this.

I can’t tell you how difficult this year was for our family. At the same token- it was a year filled with blessing and also a year that I would never give back. God definitely has a purpose for the situation with my dad. Yes, our family missed Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversary’s, 4th of July together, but God brought our family closer to each other and most importantly, closer to God through all of this.
I love to hear my father say that God brought him through this and praise God and not blame him. He is giving God the glory, praying for people, and has a changed heart. For that, I thank God everyday. I have prayed for years that dad would come back to God. From not knowing when the phone rings- that someone on the other line is going to tell me that my father passed away to the phone ringing today with my mother telling me that dad is moving to a place for therapy-
TODAY: My dad went to a local nursing home for therapy….. He went outside for the first time in 7 months- God is good!!!!
This makes me think that this world is not our own- we are truly just passing through! I sometimes wonder what our “mansion over the hilltop” looks like- My high school teacher always used to tell me that my mansion in heaven will be full of lime green shoes and purses:) What will yours look like? Who will thank you for leading them to salvation and their home in heaven?
I am challenged by my dad’s situation- it makes me think that this world is very temporary and I need to do whatever I can to help reach souls for Christ. After all, sinners who are not saved by grace- are headed for hell. That is worse than any hospital ever could be- I am challenging myself to see who I can tell about Christ today!!
Thank you for praying- it is ONLY by your prayers and God’s grace that my father came through 20 something surgeries, 20 minutes of coding, and all the other complications- and is now out of the hospital with no brain damage- Our God is AWESOME!!!! Keep praying- God answers prayer:)
